♦Why should I buy a ticket?
You should buy a ticket only if you are at least 18 years of age, support the mission of The Birches Academy and are able to make a $100 non-deductible donation to the school. Although you have a chance of winning a large prize, the odds are still high. Please use good judgment when deciding whether to spend $100 on this raffle.
♦ How many tickets will be sold and is there any advantage to buying your ticket early? Only 300 tickets will be printed and processed by The Foundation of Birches Academy will be included in the drawing.
♦ What is the cost of a ticket and how many can I purchase?
Each ticket costs $100, and there is no limit on how many tickets a single individual can purchase. However, please use good judgment when deciding to purchase multiple tickets.
♦ Can I pool my cash together with friends and family to buy a ticket?
Yes, you can buy multiple tickets with family and friends and then split the winnings. The details involved in splitting the winnings will be the sole responsibility of the winners. Only one (1) individual may be identified as the purchaser (or buyer) of the raffle ticket. Please note groups must designate a primary name, address and phone on a ticket to be responsible for tax liability. You may add up to nine additional names per ticket (for a total of 10) at the time of purchase. No additional names may be added after initial ticket purchase.
♦ How can I purchase a ticket and can I purchase more than one ticket at a time? You may purchase a ticket by contacting a Birches Academy parent or community member. If you are out of the area and are interested in supporting our school, please call 603-458-6399 or email foundation@birchesacademy.org. You can buy as many tickets at one time, as long as the ticket count of 300 has not been met at the time of ticket purchase.
♦ How can I pay for my ticket?
Tickets may be purchased by cash, check, Visa, or MasterCard
♦ How soon will I receive a verification of my ticket purchase?
If email address has been provided an email will be sent as soon as your payment has been received and verified (check/credit card)to the primary registered ticket buyer once your check or credit card has been processed. If no email is given a postcard will be mailed instead. This is your purchase receipt. The Foundation of Birches Academy, Birches Academy and its volunteers assume no liability for lost, late, misdirected, illegible or undelivered entries. If you do not receive a verification email or postcard, please email foundation@birchesacademy.org or call 603-458-6399.
♦ When are the drawings and where are they held?
The drawing will be held on June 29, 2021 at The Birches Academy. The drawing will begin at approximately 9:00 a.m. We will have a live Zoom event.
♦ What is the latest date I can purchase or order a ticket?
Please note only 300 tickets will be sold. All dates and times are contingent on ticket availability. Tickets for the Mega Cash drawing will be available at the school until June 28, 2021 at 7:00pm as long as tickets are available. ONLY 300 TICKETS WILL BE SOLD!
♦ Do I have to be present to win?
No, you do not need to be present. The winners will receive a call and written notice of their prize.
♦ How will I know if I win a prize?
All prize winners will be notified by phone & mail. A complete winners list will be posted on our website www.birchesacademy.org and is available per request by mail.
♦ If I am a winner, am I still eligible for future The Foundation of Birches Academy raffle drawings?
Absolutely! You may enter as often as you wish in all future raffles and drawings The Foundation of Birches Academy may have.
♦ Can my raffle ticket be used as a tax deduction?
No. The IRS has ruled that a raffle ticket is NOT tax deductible, but you should check with your tax advisor for additional information.
♦ Can I “gift” my winnings to another person?
Yes. When you are contacted about your winnings and provide identification you can declare the name of the person to receive the winnings. The primary name on the ticket is responsible for all taxes and fees. You can also donate a portion of your winnings back to The Foundation of Birches Academy.
♦ Do you send unsolicited mail?
The mailing address you provide is only used to provide information on the current and future The Foundation of Birches Academy raffles. If at any time you wish to discontinue receiving any information of this nature, please contact us. According to our privacy policy we do not sell, rent, or use your information except in connection with The Foundation of Birches Academy Mega Cash Raffle.
